After getting laughed at by my brother for not having a favicon on this website (come on man... -_-) I finally added one, and also wanted to test adding images to my posts. I have to be honest that I really laughed when I went to the w3schools website and it simply said: "Images can improve the design and the appearance of a web page". I .. don't even know how to respond to that.
Anyways, I have done images in websites dozens of times in my life , but since I am doing this site completely from scratch, it's different this time. So here goes. This is one that I took on a run during my recent trip home to California. Woohoo! Looks like it works. I have never used the html <figure> attribute before, but I like it, so I think I'll use it for most of the images in my posts going forwards. The built in caption is a really elegant solution, compared to how I would have done it by hand. Bravo. Now let me try a vertical image. This guy reading a book in Riverside Park looked so cool that I just had to take a picture. Anyways, looks like I have this figured out (at least for desktop). Let's do mobile some other day.
